UX Case Study
Visual Designs and Scenarios of password recovery on Design, LLC login page.
1. On the login page of the user panel, user can click on Forgot Password link to start the reset password process.
2. After user click on Forgot Password link, user will see a text field to enter the username.
3. If system detect the user name existed, the user will see a message of submitted successfully.
4. If system not detect the user name existed, the user will see a failed message and user can re-enter the username.
5. After the step#3, once user enter the username and submitted successfully, user will receive a email with reset password.
6. If user take more 15 minutes to reset password and user click on reset password button, a page will open in browser and said the link will expired. However, user can still enter the username and re-try to reset password.
7. After the step#5, if user click on the reset password button within 15 minutes, a page will open in browser and let user enter the new password credentials.
8. If the password not match the requirement, user will see a warning message under the text field.
9. When user typing the password, user will see the requirement automatically come out and help user to match it.
